* The title comes directly from a saying of an old Chi Psi fraternity member during the early part of the last century.  It might could be either absurdly meaningless or mebbe a chant of sorts or rally to aggress by a debate team thereby encouraging a team speaker to rakish reply in rapacious retort.  The dear old fellow averred that there was, indeed, no physical, forceful piercer or piercee beyond metaphor and imagination.  That's about all that came out of patient inquiry down all the years save for a deep chuckle and a winsome, then wistful stare at a time gone by.  Hence, 'Fork's punctuation of the title and its repeats are intentionally, vaguely multibiguous and the poem restricts to an absurdly meaningless chant.
