'Fork just got it from Springfield Arms. Read its instructions, removed a plastic safety piece to keep it from firing, loaded magazines, showed it to several, and hauled it around some concealed.
Pros:
Smaller profile than its nearest competitor the Glock M26
Holds 13+1 rounds with the shorter clip it comes with and can be concealed with care
Reportedly aims better
Plenty of second-thought proof safeties - in battery, cocked, grip-trigger
A little less expensive that its nearest competitor the Glock M26
Comes in the ubiquitous 9mm, including 147 grain softpoint from Silver Bear, reckoning that this Croatian-made will eat Rooshun ammo burplessly
Cons:
Heavier than its nearest competitor the Glock M26
Holds 16+1 rounds with the longer clip it comes with and cannot be concealed without printing in most conditions, especially for most ladies and slimmer gents - 'Fork's opinion
Not lots of holster options
Bitch to load the clips (not necessarily XD9-exclusive)
No aftermarket for parts ('Fork's opinion . . . really stoopid), gotta send 'em back to the maker
No way to decock the mutha - no accessible hammer - gotta clear and squeeze
Comment: Yes, clips. Not magazines. Clips. A magazine is a belly bay full of munitions, a hanging box full of .50 caliber, etc. Bite me.
