It is oft typed and teased and trifled that BHO behaves as though steeped in a Messiah Complex, a savior syndrome.  Pitchfork’s not so sure as some; however, he can reckon from whence the sense of it arises.

The Messiah complex is the will, intention, compulsion to be a messiah, to be the redeemer and savior of the world.

A Messianic complex is not just the general wish - be it overt or covert - to redeem the world or to improve the conditions of the world, but it includes another component just as important. The messianic wish is not merely a general wish for improved conditions and for changes for the better, but the wish of that private person to become personally the redeemer of the world.

To ‘Fork, about the Messiah Complex – there are 5 moments –

1. The redemptive dynamic, the source, is personal 
2. The redemptive authority is self-generated, sui generis, and unique, lacking discipline, lacking regulation, lacking a catechism, lacking a calculus – as a coreless, childlike compulsion
3. The redemptive motive is dutiful-to-being an obligation
4. The redemptive motive is remedial-to-being an elevation, a deliverance, an ascendance 
5. The redemptive focus is outward, on the other guys – I’m OK; you are not.

Pitchfork opines – BHO hauls water on 5 of 5, if the redemption feature is not included in each.  But redemption – saving and such – seems to be the hallmark of the Messiah Complex.

What’s BHO saved?  Capitalism’s deconstruction?  Who’s BHO saved?  Folks in institutions too big to succeed otherwise?  Did you think bailouts are about care giving?  Nah.

(That the messianic syndrome has both righteous rendition and resonant, respectful recognition – this sword blade has two edges – is matter for another minding.) 

There are many proffered pigeon holes.  Do you think that BHO might come off variously as: narcissistic; a narcissist; a pathological narcissist; misoAmerican; a sociopath; a psychopath; a serial liar; an observant Muslim; a Muslim Manchurian Candidate; an apostate; suffering narcissist personality disorder; a Tin Man bereft of heart and empathy and conscience? 

Weaknesses?  Ya think?  Maybe moved to aggressive, even explosive behavior for actual or threatened lack of or worse, withdrawn, adoration, adulation, advocacy, affirmation, attention, appreciation, approval, and the like?  May be moved to aggressive, even explosive behavior for actual or threatened blame, criticism in things gone bad, gone wrong?  What self-esteem?  Distinguishing truth and reality and realistic goal-setting and such? 

Doesn’t matter, does it, even if BHO’s the poster child for ‘this head’s just not right’?  Unconnected, umh ♫, umh ♫, umh ♫.  BHO’s in The Office.  BHO’s got The Job.  BHO be bigtime-bigtime. 

What does matter, seems to ‘Fork, is:  whassup with BHO when whichever of his weakness buttons get pushed?  Get pushed lots?  Hard.  Pushed hard.  Doubters’ numbers rise and devotees’ dwindle.  Even mendacious media morons huff and hiss heretically. 

Troubling concerns of follow-on collect in ‘Forks intellectual in-box: 

• Is it that BHO’s got a gig that he cannot play:  leadership?  Looks like he aspires to a God Complex, and cannot get it on.  Coreless compulsion’s are as causeways, without crossroads.

  • Find BHO in this litany on leadership . . . dare ya . . .

• Does BHO preside in the wrong country, really in the wrong civilization?  For racked, wracked reasoning, he seems to hate America.  And Americans seem to be catching on.

• Ya think that BHO’s feeling trapped in derision, dismissal, disavowal, dissed entitlement could ‘splode (‘Fork calls these mental munitions ‘BHO boo-boos’)?  Could a 'splosion light the tinder beneath political disgust for gubmint tentacles and tumors, financial ruin, social and cultural discontents and malcontents, fundamental unfairness and consummate corruptions, not to uphold and close on lifetimes of expectation, big-hat-no-cattle performance, betrayal?

• At the bottom of BHO’s barrel of behaviors is there a Muslim? – itself, a godlike complexness of theocratic sorts (replete with method of which BHO is otherwise bereft except by his own winsome witlessness – see a conflict, eh?).  Intolerant.  Violent.  Warring without end.  One planet/one religion-government before which you’re either at their peace, their punishment, or you're passing.  The American Way is an infidels’ road to be closed however, whenever, wherever, forever.

A test for these times:  What will BHO do if bad stuff hits Israeli and Middle East Muslim fans?  Ascend or descend?  Redeem or rock and roll?  Favor:  whom; what; when; and why?  Can the real BHO please stand up on his hind legs?
