Preface
“He’d never met a sheep that he couldn’t shear.  If ever he did, he’d skin it.”  Anon.

Pitchfork had heard and read it equilibrated that an Amerikan president and political messiah, The-Ruler, had been educated during young, formative years in Catholicism and Wahhabi, extremist Islam – most always referenced in pairs – which pairing maybe was a green herring, so to have written.

“Bush says militant Muslims abroad (not to mention at home) ‘hate us because they hate freedom.’  No, Mr. President, they hate us because we are not Muslim.  Period.”  Paul E. Sperry

And this Ruler fellow had seemed to have qualified toward the fly away left end of ‘liberal’; the consummate, central control content of this political package hadn’t clearly come across as on a spear tip until after the swearing-in.  Right?

“Now, legal plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways. Thus we have an infinite number of plans for organizing it: tariffs, protection, benefits, subsidies, encouragements, progressive taxation, public schools, guaranteed jobs, guaranteed profits, minimum wages, a right to relief, a right to the tools of labor, free credit, and so on, and so on. All these plans as a whole — with their common aim of legal plunder — constitute socialism. . . But how is this legal plunder to be identified?  Quite simply.  See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong.  See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.”  Claude Frederic Bastiat

Just connect the dots this way and that, Pitchfork thought.

If this would have been only about rights and the right thing to do, a socialist Amerika would have been plenty enough of evil.  If this was about more, then the devil already had the hindmost. The weaker had been Amerika’s faithful, conservative, capitalist, Constitutional resolve, and the lesser its resources, the swifter would have been the sally past Lady Liberty, tripping down freedom’s hills on the road through socialism and, possibly downward still into Amarabia, an empire the other side of paganville.  Who would have known back then?

“He that lives upon hope will die fasting.”  Benjamin Franklin

“He that lives upon hope and change will get whomever, whatever, whenever, wherever, however, whyever, forever.”  Pitchfork
