This introduces one of two groups of sustainment survival tools and equipment – sustenance survival tools and equipment

‘Sustenance’ means here under especially food to maintain life and health – daily bread, metaphorically and really.

The context of this set of experiments is to build a skills base and understanding of options, opportunities, and outcomes during times of trouble. . . serious trouble.  The collection of thought and experience eventually gathered herewith is tuned to the world of Pitchfork and The Missus – mostly rural surrounding a small development, the two of ‘em, etc.  Emphasis will be on their circumstances, which in survival conditions may offer a little or a lot of foresight and forewarning.

Little in the literature will be reworked, reckoning most learned to read at early ages and can read to this day.  What is here includes an architecture of thought to process your needs and deeds and some gap filling-in where Pitchfork and The Missus could figure whassup short of doing.  So you can read ‘broccoli’, and they can steer you more likely better than you’d have thought as to ‘there are broccolis and there are broccolis’ right from the get-go.  And so with sweet potatoes, white potatoes, blueberry bushes, peas, carrots, cabbage, and so forth.  And there’s to be a sizeable section on bread.  It’s their experiment, and you’re welcome to trek with ‘em.

Nothing herein will be nearly as comprehensive on meats of any kind, Pitchfork and The Missus having figured that their active, rural neighborhood can compliment in barter-trade and the like, with interim forays for local fauna, large and small.  Untreated water is naturally abundant.
